Beatriz joined the Neuroprotective Strategies in Neurodegenerative Diseases group as a PhD student in December 2020, as part of the Doctorate Programme in Molecular Biosciences (Neuroscience specialty). The main objective of her thesis is the identification of drugs that reduce inflammation and oxidative markers through the activation of the Nrf2 transcription factor. In order to do so, she will evaluate different β-TRcP inhibitors in wild type and knock-in mouse models of Nrf2.
